We want the world to know about Georgian athletic achievements!
We’re thrilled to share the story of another Georgian who became an IRONMAN.
On July 13 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, Beka Kvernadze completed his first-ever triathlon — and not just any triathlon, but a full-distance IRONMAN:
- 3.86 km swim
- 180 km bike
- 42.2 km run
He finished in 10 hours and 47 minutes. What makes this even more impressive is that this was Beka’s very first triathlon. He had never completed any distance before and jumped straight into the hardest one.
He described the swim and cycling as enjoyable, but admitted the run was especially tough between kilometers 20 and 30. Despite the physical and mental challenges, he met his goal and crossed the finish line within his planned time.
Looking Ahead
Beka is a certified CrossFit Level 2 coach and already has his sights set on new, even more demanding challenges. His IRONMAN debut is not the finish line — it’s just the beginning of a bigger endurance journey.
We wish him strength, resilience, and success in every race and challenge ahead.
