Nukri Diasamidze - IRONMAN from Batumi

It's truly inspiring when people take on extreme challenges like the Ironman - especially at 50+!

Nukri Diasamidze, 58 years old, from Batumi, Georgia, is a dedicated athlete who regularly trains in swimming, cycling, and running, and often takes part in cycling competitions. This year, he finished the Ironman World Championship in Nice, France, under extremely tough conditions - both in terms of the route and the intense heat.

My derailleur hanger broke, I removed the derailleur, and I was forced to continue downhill with a long chain because I didn't have the appropriate wrench. I lost about 2 hours before I found one. I also injured my finger, trying to shorten the chain.

He pushed through and completed the legendary Ironman distances:

  • 3.8 km swim
  • 180 km bike ride
  • 42 km run
  • Total time: 15 hours and 41 minutes

His determination proves that age is no limit when the heart is strong and the will is unbreakable.

We wholeheartedly cheer for Nukri and believe he’ll continue to inspire us with more amazing achievements!
