Background

Last year’s climate conference (COP) was held in Azerbaijan, and this year it takes place in Brazil. Cyclists who rode across 12 countries to reach Baku are now heading toward Brazil — first by bicycle, then by ship, and again by bicycle. As part of the tradition, cycling enthusiasts ride from border to border to symbolically pass the “flag” from the previous host country to the next.
